This Week On The RNC Research Department’s “Stomping Grounds” Blog

WINNERS AND LOSERS: Obama promised his “bipartisan” health care summit would be an “exercise in truth-squading,” so the RNC’s rapid response team took up the challenge and fact checked the Democrats at the summit in real time.  See the live blog.

“INTERRUPTER IN CHIEF”: It’s hard to have a debate when you’re not allowed to make your case.  Over the course of the President’s six hour health care summit Obama repeatedly interrupted Republicans and we’ve compiled a video documenting the President’s interjections.

NO PLUS 1’S ALLOWED:  Why wouldn’t the Obama administration accede to the Congressional Republicans’ request to have a governor at yesterdays’s health care summit?  Probably because they don’t want to face up to the fact that their health care reform plan passes billions of dollars in costs onto state governments.

LISTEN UP!:  The American people are united in opposition against President Obama’s government takeover of the health care industry, but will he listen?

“51 VOTE PLAN”:  Rep. Anthony Weiner can’t seem to keep his mouth shut, and this time he’s spilling the beans about Obama’s true intentions for health care reform.  Find out what he said.

IS OBAMA ADMITTING FAILURE?:  Obama claimed his health care plan would lower costs, but his new proposal includes a federal agency that would implement and enforce price controls on the health care industry.  If prices would drop why do we need price controls?  Because the Democrats’ plan would actually raise the cost of premiums.

THE TAX MAN COMETH:  How does Obama propose to pay for the new draft of his government takeover of health care? More taxes of course.  Find out what’s being taxed now as Democrats scramble to find ways to pay for their binge spending.

MORE CENS-LESS WASTE: After receiving $1 billion in stimulus funs and then spending $2.5 million on TV ad buys during the Super Bowl, the 2010 Census is now buying 2 million fortune cookies complete with their own Census themed fortunes.  Find out what they say.

CAMPAIGN FEVER:  After calling for an end to endless campaigning in Washington, Obama set off on his “Save the Senate Tour,” in a desperate attempt to revive the floundering campaigns of Sens. Harry Reid and Michael Bennet.

A BUDGET BUSTING PANELIST?:  That could be the case if Obama ends up nominating SEIU President Andy Stern to his “toothless” deficit reduction commission.  Find out how union interests result in unsustainable federal spending.

LEND MORE, SAVE MORE, TAXED MORE: That about sums up Obama’s utterly inconsistent and self-contradictory banking policies that he’s advocated since the fall of last year.
