The Health Care debate has seen a renewed vigor since President Obama took office in January, but on Friday, Gallup released a poll showing that more Americans (50%) now think it’s not the federal government’s job to ensure all Americans have Health Care coverage than say it is (47%). This is the first time this has occurred since Gallup began tracking responses to this question.
These statistics confirm what Republicans, like Chairman Michael Steele, have been saying about Americans not supporting the idea of a government-run Health Care system that would completely remove the existing system that is based on private insurance and competition within the market.
