Vice President Joe Biden was in Detroit, Michigan today charging audience goers up to $5,000 a piece, admission for the pleasure of hearing the same old tired stimulus stump speech.
Biden told his audience that the stimulus “is working.”
Remember, this is a state whose unemployment rate is already the highest in the nation at 15.3% and has only climbed steadily since February when the stimulus was signed into law.
Biden added that the administration and Democrat-controlled Congress “get it.”
The truth is, not only does the White House and Democrats not “get it,” they have no idea what to do in order to create jobs and have been soliciting new ideas.
Last Monday, the president held a meeting with his economic recovery board to discuss the answer to the question, in his words, “how are we going to make sure that people are getting back to work.” He then added the obvious, “we just are not where we need to be yet.”

Today is election day, and voters in a special Congressional election have a choice between Doug Hoffman, a conservative who believes in conservative principles of lower taxes, less spending and less government, and a liberal Democrat who will be a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi.
When Republican Dede Scozzafava pulled out of the race, the RNC fully supported Doug Hoffman's campaign. The RNC has given the maximum donation to the Hoffman campaign, we are making calls urging voters to vote for Doug Hoffman and we are currently running radio ads urging voters to support conservative candidates in today's election.
The RNC looks forward to Doug Hoffman joining like-minded Republicans in Congress to oppose the liberal agenda of President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
