Stimulus II is coming down the pike.
Just don’t call it that.
House Speaker Pelosi made it clear last month- "We do not have plans for an additional stimulus package. But we do have plans to stimulate the economy…” she said.
Today, The Hill quotes Democratic sources who predict it’s possible the House will see an “economic package on the floor sometime in December.”
Talk of a second stimulus in the House comes on the heels of Senator Reid’s statement last week that Senate Democrats will take up a new job-creation bill and, more recently, the White House announcement of a jobs summit and tour.
Democrats are forced to take another stab at passing something to stimulate the economy and create jobs because their first package has failed.
When the Obama Administration first began selling their “stimulus” package, they promised it would keep U.S. unemployment below 8%. We are now at 10.2% with economists predicting it could go higher still.
It is no wonder the Democrats would be thinking ... more

The headlines keep coming.
And they are all saying the same thing- stimulus math cannot be trusted.
“Stimulus-jobs count in Colorado overinflated”-Denver Post
“Illinois data on stimulus-related jobs saved, created don't add up”- Chicago Tribune
“Stimulus job boost in state exaggerated, review finds”-Boston Globe
The latest is an ABC News report that shows the Obama Administration has been claiming jobs have been created in Congressional districts that do not even exist.
Recently, Vice President Biden acknowledged that the White House knows job creation stats are not "100% accurate.”
Seems he doesn’t know the half of it.

One of the first questions every Democrat in Congress should ask before casting a vote in favor of government-run health care is this: “Does the government have the capacity to efficiently run our health care system?”
One doesn’t even need to theorize –the proof that government is not equipped to take over and run one-sixth of our economy is answered in the present.
Just today, The Washington Post highlights a new federal report which finds that the federal government made $47 billion in improper Medicare payments in the past year, wasting “taxpayer money at a rate nearly three times that of the previous year.”
If the government is unable to manage a program aimed at aiding only 15% of the total U.S. population without wasting billions of taxpayer money each year, how much less will it be able to run the entire health care system with any efficiency?

Liberal group HCAN is trying to convince Senate Democrats Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor that they can vote for government-run health care before they vote against it.
As a new series of RNC videos point out, that tactic has been tried before, and now lives in campaign election infamy.
Note to Senate Democrats: A vote for cloture is a vote for government-run health care.

The bill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi forced through in the dead of night last week proposes to take over every last aspect of our health care world. If you’re a doubter, see the 2,000 paged document illustrated below.
How Democrats can propose such a radical expansion of bureaucracy and yet claim that their government-run health care plan will be deficit neutral, lower the cost of health care and guarantee those with health insurance will not see any changes to their current arrangement is laughable at best.

Vice President Joe Biden was in Detroit, Michigan today charging audience goers up to $5,000 a piece, admission for the pleasure of hearing the same old tired stimulus stump speech.
Biden told his audience that the stimulus “is working.”
Remember, this is a state whose unemployment rate is already the highest in the nation at 15.3% and has only climbed steadily since February when the stimulus was signed into law.
Biden added that the administration and Democrat-controlled Congress “get it.”
The truth is, not only does the White House and Democrats not “get it,” they have no idea what to do in order to create jobs and have been soliciting new ideas.
Last Monday, the president held a meeting with his economic recovery board to discuss the answer to the question, in his words, “how are we going to make sure that people are getting back to work.” He then added the obvious, “we just are not where we need to be yet.”
In mid October, House Speaker Pelosi convened her own forum with ... more

Today is election day, and voters in a special Congressional election have a choice between Doug Hoffman, a conservative who believes in conservative principles of lower taxes, less spending and less government, and a liberal Democrat who will be a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi.
When Republican Dede Scozzafava pulled out of the race, the RNC fully supported Doug Hoffman's campaign. The RNC has given the maximum donation to the Hoffman campaign, we are making calls urging voters to vote for Doug Hoffman and we are currently running radio ads urging voters to support conservative candidates in today's election.
The RNC looks forward to Doug Hoffman joining like-minded Republicans in Congress to oppose the liberal agenda of President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
