There were some pretty high profile visits in Georgia over the past few months, including DNC boss Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  Paired with Barack Obama’s campaign team, they continually claim that Georgia will be in play.  Well, Tuesday, Dems in Georgia only got 8.5% of the vote.  Now might be a good time for Barack Obama and his campaign team to re-think the map, especially since he is down big in all of the traditional battleground states.

SHOT:  Barack Obama’s Campaign Manager Says Georgia’s In Play

“If you look at the new census numbers, you would think that Georgia would be in play. You would definitely think that Arizona would be in play — as I think it is. Those are states where we didn’t play in last time.” (Jeff Zeleny, “An Obama Insider, Running the Race From Afar,” New York Times, 04/02/2011)

More Solyndra emails reveal someone isn’t being truthful about the White House and Kaiser’s role in Solyndra.

Obama donor discussed solar loan with White House. Associated Press: Emails released by a House committee appear to show that a major donor to President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign discussed with White House officials a federal loan to a failed California solar company. That's despite repeated assurances by Obama administration officials that the donor, George Kaiser, didn't discuss the loan with the White House. http://bit.ly/rpeOwe

BREAKING -- POLITICO Pro reports: "Advisers to Obama fundraiser George Kaiser discussed Solyndra and other government contracts during their White House visits, according to emails released today by House Republicans. The 2010 emails between Kaiser and two of his top business associations indicate the California solar company came up during visits with aides to Vice President Joe Biden. Republicans said this contradicts earlier claims from ... more

I wanted to make sure you caught this interesting note from Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, on Barack Obama and his role in the Ohio Senate race.  We have seen Democrats running scared from Obama and his extreme policies across the nation, now the question is, will America’s most liberal senator?

Brown Has To Put A Little Distance Between Himself And The President

But it is Brown who will truly have his fate tied to that of another politician, and that politician is the president of the United States.  "He's going to rise or fall with Obama,'' Sabato said. "He's supported his policies, but he has to put a little distance between himself and the president." (Howard Wilkinson, “Ohio Senate race could cost $200 million,” Cincinnati Enquirer, 11/4/2011)

With Poor Polling Numbers – It’s No Surprise

51 Percent Of Ohio Voters Disapprove Of Obama’s Handling Of The Presidency. (Quinnipiac University Poll, 1,668 RV, MoE 2.4%, 10/17-23/11)

Another day, another contradicting statement from the White House and Democratic National Committee.  I wanted to make sure you caught this one where President Obama said that the economy is “always my responsibility” when his top campaign spokeswoman is trying to distance herself and Obama from the poor economy saying “voters don’t elect leaders to create jobs.”  Watch below:

I wanted to make sure you caught this double standard from Debbie Wasserman Schultz today in Pittsburgh.  So while Obama goes around pointing fingers at Republicans, looks like you have the Democrats’ message in a nutshell here... “Say one thing and do another.”

DWS On GOP Opposition To Stimulus 2.0:  You Should Be Ashamed

Wasserman Schultz, a congresswoman from Florida, said Republicans should be "ashamed of themselves" for blocking President Obama's jobs bill. (Mike Wereschagin, “Democrats plug for jobs bill in Pittsburgh,” Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, 11/1/2011)

DWS On Dem Opposition To Stimulus 2.0: We’re A Party That Doesn’t Require Unanimity – I Respect His Opinion

But fellow Democrats who also opposed Obama's jobs bill, such as McCandless Rep. Jason Altmire, got a pass from Wasserman Schultz.  "We're a party that doesn't require unanimity," she said. "Jason Altmire is a friend of mine. I respect his opinion."  (Mike Wereschagin, “Democrats plug for jobs bill in Pittsburgh,” ... more

RE:       One Year to Go

With one year to go, the headwinds President Obama faces in his fight to get re-elected are approaching gale-force.

A Gallup study released this week shows Republican Party affiliation is on the rise.   Enthusiasm among Republicans remains high while Democrat enthusiasm remains far lower than what it was in 2008 (a CNN study showed that 79% of Democrats were “very enthusiastic” in 2008 versus only 43% today).  By most accounts Obama’s donors are much more tepid in their support than they were in 2008.  Satisfaction with his administration’s policies continues to fall across the ideological spectrum.   The country remains in a sour mood and even more pessimistic than when Obama took office (the current RealClearPolitics average shows 75% believing the country is on the wrong track, and a Time Magazine survey in September showed 81%).   And according to Gallup, Obama’s ... more

Between star-studded fundraisers this week, the President brought out the pomp and circumstance to unveil some new White House policies that he promises will help the economy.  Compared to the size of the PR blitz, though, the plans will make only a marginal difference—if any at all.  In fact, they once again illustrate how much better the president is at creating economic problems than solving them.

On Monday, he presented a plan to address the housing crisis.  There’s no doubt there’s a problem.  Since President Obama took office, there have been 7.5 million home foreclosure filings.  And 11 million more families owe more on their homes than they’re now worth.

Under the President’s plan, homeowners who owe more than 125% of the value of their houses and whose loans were backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, would now qualify for re-financing to take advantage of lower interest rates.

So what was the reaction to the president’s rescue plan?  Said California Congressman Dennis ... more

Looking at the latest poll in Pennsylvania showing Obama upside down 13 points, it’s no wonder Chicago is trying to “expand the map,” but does Obama really think he’s going win…Mississippi? The DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz sure seems to, but with news reports today showing the DNC spending money like they are in the heat of reelection, how much are they going to commit to winning Mississippi?

Susquehanna Poll Suggests Obama Would Lose Pennsylvania

“A generic or "nameless" Republican would beat President Obama in Pennsylvania, according to a statewide poll out today. The poll by Susquehanna Polling and Research shows that a Republican would defeat Obama 45 percent to 38 percent with 15 percent undecided and 3 percent saying they didn't know. The poll didn't further define "nameless Republican," nor did it match up the current GOP presidential candidates against Obama. Obama's job approval rating -- 41 percent ... more

The White House surely must have not appreciated many of the headlines coming out from the President’s second taxpayer-funded campaign bus tour of the year. Whether it was reminding taxpayers he was campaigning on their dime, lawmakers from his own party avoiding him like the plague, or getting a fact check for his spin about his Stimulus 2.0 plan, the White House must be wondering if they got any political mileage at all.

LA Times: “Obama Ends Bus Tour With Pitch To Subdued Crowd”: “Closing out his bus tour on a low-key note, President Obama made a pitch for his jobs package at a firehouse, where a subdued crowd needed a bit of prompting to applaud his proposal to boost the economy.” (Peter Nicholas, “Obama Ends Bus Tour With Pitch To Subdued Crowd,” Los Angeles Times, 10/19/2011)

Re:          OWS Anti-Semitism: Where's the Outrage?
Date:       October 18, 2011

Democratic leaders have spent the last week championing the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, yet in the midst of protestors’ extreme anti-Semitic, anti-Israel comments, they’ve been silent.

Where’s the outrage?  While protestors are seen spewing hate against Jewish Americans, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman  Schultz have declared their support for the demonstrations.  Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Steve Israel even circulated a petition saying he’s “standing with” Occupy Wall Street.

Is Steve Israel standing with those calling for the killing of Jews?  Does Debbie Wasserman Schultz agree with the various calls for Jews to be “run out of this country” and to oppose and "destroy" the state of Israel?

Democrats were quick to single out any instances of perceived extremism ... more
