5 CommentsWASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement today:
“Tonight a number of moderate Democrats sacrificed their principles to give Harry Reid a victory that brings America dangerously closer to having a government-run health care system. Make no mistake: this was not a free vote. A vote in favor of this procedural motion paves the way for the bill’s final adoption, which would impose a government-run health care experiment on America that increases premiums, increases taxes, cuts Medicare and allows for taxpayer-funded abortions. As the recent elections in Virginia and New Jersey showed, Harry Reid’s health care scheme is exactly what voters do not want. President Obama, Harry Reid and their liberal Senate allies will surely gloat and pat themselves on the back for winning tonight’s vote in the dark of night during a rare Saturday session, while Americans were home with their families. But as they do, those moderate Democrats who voted for Harry Reid’s bill will have to answer to their constituents.”

In my opinion Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are the most useless and self serving individuals in congress. However, I can not say that I'm very impressed with the Republican side of the isle either. If YOU, our representatives are not happy with what King Harry and Queen Nancy are proposing, SHOW ME SOMETHING BETTER!!!! I'm just as scared of what the dems are doing as what you, the GOP are not doing. Get with it folks. This is the American people you work for. Give us something to be proud of, or GO HOME! I'll DO IT!! I LOVE this country and don't give a damn about image, pay offs and back alley deals. I, along with millions of good Americans want someone to speak on our behalf regardless of consequence. We want truth, honesy and integrity...not much to ask for. Especially since that is part of your oath. God bless America!!

I believe in the principles of the old RNC. Our party has been splintered into a million pieces. Wins in NJ and VA are only a give when you take a look at the big picture. It is Congress and Senate that make the biggest difference in changing the laws of the land. States are then stuck with them and many times are left impotent due to federal funding being given at the whim of the Democrats. Just look at this health bill and what transpired with Louisiana. As a resident of NJ the state will continue to suffer and the Dems will point their fingers at the results if miracles don't happen. Which in turn will set up the runs for the Senate in 2010. Don't get me wrong, I am happy Christie won and I pray he can turn the state around. It will just be an uphill battle. Until we get behind a candidate like Rubino in FL who stands tall on the RR ethics then we will be fighting the desires for a conservative candidate. Charlie Christ is a moderate leaning to the left Republican. We need to purge the party of the left leaning candidates or RINO's as we call them. I for one will withold additional financial support because of this until there are representatives that will raise us up out of the hole the Democrats and left leaning Republicans are digging for this country.

Jesus Christ is my healthcare provider. He gives the bread of life and living waters to those that belive on Him. Obama and his ungodly administration can not compete with Jesus Christ. They will have to answer for burdening the people with this unjust legislation. Instead of worrying about being on the right side of history, they should worry about being on the right side of GOD ALMIGHTY.

Landrieu actually got $300 million and bragged about how she couldn't be bought off for a paltry $100 million of MY money! Huey Long politics are alive and well in Louisiana. Every Republican Senator should be in front of every camera available for the next few days identifying these people for what they are: corrupt, unprincipled, socialists. Use those exact terms. Stop the PC. It's destroying this country.

As a resident of Arkansas, I am making it my goal to get Blanche Lincoln out of office. I am not willing to sit by and watch someone who obviously doesn't represent this state stay in office. I am putting a sign in my yard that says Lincoln has to go. She can say yes now and then say no and think we are stupid. I am making it my objective to let her know, I am not stupid...You are gone. This is not what the majority wants and that is who you represent. Go home if you think you can do what we don't want you to do.
