Even though Elaine Marshall agrees with President Obama on almost every single issue, she hedged on whether or not she wanted President Obama to campaign with her. Perhaps Elaine Marshall read the political tea leaves of this toxic administration, or as “a darling of the progressive movement” she may have considered President Obama’s big-government agenda too conservative for her liking. Either way, the thought of having the President on the North Carolina campaign trail gave Marshall great pause.
Today, DNC Chairman Tim Kaine said that Democrats who are running away from Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi are “crazy” to do so.Given Elaine Marshall’s back and forth on this issue, does Tim Kaine think Elaine Marshall is “crazy”? Will Elaine Marshall stand up to Kaine’s characterization of her? And if she does in fact want to be seen in the Tar Heel state with the President at her side, when will she invite him down for a visit? After Robert Gibbs blasted the left with similar “crazy” comments, does Elaine Marshall still want him coming to North Carolina on her behalf?
Looks like there are a lot of questions for Elaine to answer.
“I can tell you Democrats who kind of are afraid to be who they are ,or who are pushing back on their leaders - I think they're crazy.” – DNC Chair Tim Kaine, Fox and Friends, 8/13/10
