WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee today announced the New Mexico D2H (Delaware to Hawaii) Victory campaign to establish the in-state political operation to ensure Republican candidates are successful in November. In partnership with the New Mexico Republican Party, the RNC is providing funding and resources to promote strong Republican leadership grounded in small government, low taxes, and fiscal responsibility.
D2H Victory New Mexico is creating a statewide infrastructure to effectively reach Republican voters by opening party offices across the state equipped with cutting edge (VOIP) phone centers, providing devoted and professional staff, and tapping into the grassroots volunteer base that will be the key to Republican success. In addition to staff and resources on the ground, the New Mexico Victory operation will have full access to communications, research, and political support. .
“The RNC is excited to be partnering with the New Mexico Republican Party in this effort and in New Mexico we have a clear choice between the big-government policies of the Democrats and the fiscally responsible, pro-growth Republicans,” said RNC Chairman Michael Steele. “The Republican candidates in New Mexico, led by Susana Martinez, are offering an exciting vision for the Republican Party with a clear message of fiscal responsibility, ethical leadership, and pro-growth economic policies. Our Victory program will tap into the energy and excitement of Republican grassroots volunteers all across New Mexico. ”
“In addition, with Congressional candidates like Jon Barela, Steve Pearce, and Tom Mullins, Republicans are poised to make major gains,” continued Chairman Steele. “In November, New Mexico voters will have a slate of strong Republican candidates willing to stand against Barack Obama’s reckless spending and unchecked growth of government. These candidates will provide a stark contrast to New Mexico’s big-government Democrats who consistently rubberstamp Barack Obama’s liberal agenda.”
“With support from the Republican National Committee and a top-flight campaign operation at the state and county level, New Mexico voters are ready to elect strong Republican leaders up and down the ballot,” said New Mexico Republican Party Chairman Harvey E. Yates. “Our volunteers are energized and the resources that Chairman Steele and the RNC are providing to our state will have a tremendous impact on our ability to get out the vote. The people of New Mexico have an opportunity to make history by reversing the direction of the state and electing Susana Martinez and our other Republican candidates this November.”
In 2009, Republicans made 5.8 million voter contacts and put in 165,715 volunteer hours, resulting in victories across the country and playing a major role in more than 30 successful races. In 2010, the RNC is building on this success to compete aggressively in all fifty states, from Delaware to Hawaii. D2H Victory New Mexico has opened six offices across the state in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Hobbs, Roswell, Farmington, and Santa Fe. For office locations and hours please visit: www.nmvictory.com.
