WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) launched a new web video “A Fast and Furious Cover-Up" ahead of Attorney General Eric Holder’s hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. The video highlights the Department of Justice and Eric Holder’s cover-up of the disastrous Obama Administration program that allowed thousands of weapons to get into the hands of Mexican drug cartels including weapons found at the scene of the murder of a U.S. border agent.

“The American people deserve to know the truth about Fast and Furious,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “From the very beginning, the Justice Department has been dodging the issue. At first, Attorney General Holder said he did not know about the program, then he did and most recently it was revealed that his office purposely provided false documents for the Senate investigation.

“Today, Attorney General Eric Holder has the opportunity to come clean to the American people about what he knew and when he knew it. An American border agent is dead, and we need answers. Attorney General Eric Holder needs to be held accountable. He should do the responsible thing and resign.”
