WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a new web ad “Failed Promises: New Hampshire" ahead of the first in the nation primary to remind voters of President Obama’s false hope and failed promises. The ad highlights the words Barack Obama used four years ago in New Hampshire and his inability as president to deliver on them. No matter which Republican emerges from the primary, the consensus is clear: this president has been a failure and the American people are ready to change direction.

“On primary night in 2008, Barack Obama came to New Hampshire and warned against those offering false hope,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “And yet, four years after offering America hope and change, it is crystal clear Barack Obama didn’t heed his own advice. President Obama promised his stimulus plan would keep unemployment below 8 percent but unemployment has been above 8% for 35 straight months. He promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, but, under his leadership, America has run trillion dollar deficits each year he’s been in office.
“In promise after promise, whether it was creating jobs or containing healthcare costs, this president has failed to deliver. Tonight, the people of New Hampshire have an opportunity to send a message to Barack Obama: we are tired of empty words and broken promises. We are ready for new leadership in the White House to get this country back on track.”
