WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee announced a new web video today on Senator Byron Dorgan’s disingenuous plan to vote to enable the bill to reach the Senate floor before voting against passage of the bill.  The web video, entitled “Flip Flop Byron Dorgan,” can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUTDMKn2jh0.

“Byron Dorgan has been in Washington for too long if he thinks he can pretend to not support President Obama’s government-run health care experiment by voting for it and then voting against it.  It’s the classic John Kerry flip flop.  Americans weren’t fooled by him, and North Dakotans won’t be fooled by Senator Dorgan.  If Senator Dorgan votes to move the Democrats’ health care bill forward he is voting to raise North Dakotans health care costs, taxes, and premiums, all while cutting Medicare.  The people of North Dakota can see through these parliamentary procedure games.  They don’t want a flip flopper.  They want someone to keep the government from coming between them and their doctor.” – RNC Chairman Michael Steele
