WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement on the Massachusetts primary election results tonight:
“Congratulations to all of the Massachusetts Republican nominees who won their primaries tonight. Bay State voters are seeking much-needed fiscal sanity on Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill. After years of over-taxing, over-spending and over-regulating, the policies of the Patrick-Cahill Administration and Congressional Democrats have pushed Massachusetts’ unemployment to record levels. Our Party is excited to have a core group of strong Republican candidates who are focused on pro-growth economic policies to create jobs, instead of trying to tax-and-spend our way to economic prosperity. In November, I am fully confident that voter enthusiasm will be on our side and Republican candidates will secure victories up and down the ballot.”
