WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele released the following statement on the Wisconsin primary election results today:

“Congratulations to Scott Walker, Ron Johnson, Dan Kapanke, Sean Duffy, Reid Ribble and all of the Wisconsin Republican nominees who won their primaries tonight.  The Republican Party is excited to have a group of strong candidates led by Scott Walker and Ron Johnson, who will stand up to the big government agenda of Democrats across Wisconsin and in Washington, D.C.

“Wisconsin can’t afford the extreme tax and spend policies that Wisconsin Democrats have so eagerly supported.  Thankfully, Wisconsin voters have a clear cut choice, as Republicans will stand up to the tax, borrow and spend policies and fight for Wisconsin.
