Check out House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi’s answer to the question of if she thought “it’s right that Boeing has to close down that plant in South Carolina because it’s non-union.” Her answer is a disturbing display of the Democrats’ attitude toward job creation, especially since Obama’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) could cost 1,000 people their jobs in South Carolina.

Transcript And Video Of Pelosi On CNBC (10/28/11):

CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo: “How important are concessions about the regulatory environment? This is the final question here on this murky environment that we're seeing. CEOs tell me all the time that they don't know the details of Dodd Frank. It's the law of the land and we're still writing the rules. We've got the EPA making decisions and legislations. Supposed to come from Congress and it seems like we’re going around things and the EPA is coming out with its own rules. You’ve got the labor relations board, the situation with Boeing. I mean, for starters, ... more

On Thursday, EPA Chief Lisa Jackson Encouraged College Activists To Campaign Against Coal. “College environmental activists met Thursday with Environmental Protection Agency chief Lisa Jackson to tell her what they're doing at their schools to try to shut down campus coal-fired heating plants. ‘It's so important that your voices are heard, that campuses that are supposed to be teaching people aren't meanwhile polluting the surrounding community with mercury and costing the children a few IQ points because of the need to generate power. It's simply not fair,’ Jackson said.” (Renee Schoof, “EPA Chief Encourages College Activists In Campaign Against Coal,” The Kansas City Star, 10/27/11)

Background On The Obama Administration’s War On Coal:

“You Say We Can't Wait, Then Why Have You Waited?”

Watch The Video Here

CHUCK TODD:  “You are saying you can't wait. Then why have you waited? Why haven't you been -- why didn't you start doing this six weeks ago as you guys were pushing the jobs bill? Do it simultaneously if this stuff is going to work, even around the margins why wait as long as you have?” (MSNBC’s “Daily Rundown,” 10/27/11)

Especially When Obama Had Control Of The White House, The Senate And The House Of Representatives For Two Years

“Mr. Obama Has Been The Least Obstructed President Since LBJ In 1965 Or FDR In 1933, Which Is How We Got Here.” “The larger political subtext of Mr. Obama's speech is that if Congress doesn't pass his plan, he'll then campaign against Republicans as obstructionist. Thus his speech mantra that Congress should ‘pass it right away.’ This ignores that Mr. Obama has been the least obstructed President since LBJ in 1965 or FDR in 1933, which is how we got here.” (Editorial, “The Latest ... more

SHOT: White House Domestic Policy Council Chair Melody Barnes: “This is something that we've been focused on, the high cost of college.” (MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” 10/26/11)

CHASER: Obama’s Plan “Only Reaches The Tip Of The Iceberg” While Ignoring The Increasing Costs Of Tuition And Jobs For Graduates.  “Consumer advocates who focus on student lending praised the effort as a first step but were plain that the initiative only reaches the tip of the iceberg. It chips away at student loan bills but does nothing to address soaring tuition costs, and the scores of recent graduates struggling to find jobs even with advanced degrees.” (Stacy Kaper, “Obama Student Loan Relief Is Modest But Could Prove Politically Smart,” National Journal, 10/26/11)

  • The Cost Of College Is Currently At “An All Time High.” “Nationally, the cost of a full credit load has passed $8,000, an all-time high. Throw in room and board, and the average list price for a state school now runs more than $17,000 ... more

Rhetoric: He Was Relentlessly Focused On Jobs

Norah O’Donnell: Did the president take his eye off the ball on jobs?

Secretary Geithner: Absolutely not. He was relentlessly focused on it. And in fact he was doing things that were deeply difficult politically for him.

O’Donnell: But people say he was focused on healthcare – not jobs and the economy?

Reality: A Scattershot Record Of Focusing On Jobs

Obama Has “A Scattershot Record (At Best) Of Focusing On The Main Concern Of Main Street: Joblessness.” “Obama arrives at his reelection campaign not merely with a weak performance on Wall Street crime enforcement and reform but also with a scattershot record (at best) of focusing on the main concern of Main Street: joblessness.” (Frank Rich, “Obama’s Original Sin,” New York Magazine, 7/3/11)

Obama's promise to help up to 9 million Americans avoid foreclosures "hasn't worked out.” In 2009, Obama promised that his housing program would prevent 7 to 9 million families from facing foreclosure.

And just like the rest of his economic policies, Obama has broken that promise and failed to help millions of Americans confronted with foreclosures.

In fact, since Obama has taken office, over 7.5 million properties have received foreclosure filings.

And only 1.7 million  people have received any help on their homes, a number far short of the 7 to 9 million he promised.
