McDonnell v. Deeds

6 days and counting…

In 6 short days voters in Virginia will go to the polls to elect a new governor. Despite the negative campaign from the Democratic opposition, Republican Bob McDonnell has worked tirelessly for months and stands ready to claim a Republican victory on November 3rd. The RNC has also devoted an unprecedented amount of resources to this race and is proud of Bob McDonnell for his efforts.

What Is the RNC Doing?

  • CHALLENGE:  McDonnell is holding strong in a state that has been trending Democrat in recent years
  • Despite the negative campaign waged by Creigh Deeds, Bob McDonnell is leading recent polls:

                McDonnell:  51%

                Deeds:  40%

  •   Strong GOP Grassroots Effort

               –        39 Field Offices

               –        16 additional RNC-supported Delegate offices

               –        69,000 volunteer hours

               –        2,100,000 calls made by volunteers
