Staying true to his vow to “remake America” from the ground up and get health care legislation across the finish line in the coming weeks, President Obama kicked-off another round on the health care campaign trail today by hitting up the birthplace of liberty – Philadelphia.
As a pivotal electoral-vote state, the President knows that he must gain the support of PA voters in order to pass his health care bill, lest he risk losing key supporters for his Party in 2010, and himself in 2012. But unfortunately for the President, only 25% of PA residents support the Obama-Reid-Pelosi government-run health care bill. In fact, 60% of adults statewide believe that Obama and his liberal Congress should consider alternative reform measures instead of moving forward with the proposals that have failed to gain support and have languished in the House and Senate for months.
