In this CNN interview, Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana gives an excellent outline of how Republican solutions to the problems of the health care system should be embraced by Democrats. 

We agree on many of the principles, but when you look at the details on issue after issue—covering those with pre-existing conditions, reforming the health care payment system, ensuring portability of health insurance coverage, and others—Democrats are more interested in a government take-over than real reform.  That’s why their government-run health care experiment will raise taxes, raise the cost of health care, and do nothing to improve quality.
