RNC Women

A new poll shows that a majority of American women would grade President Obama’s first two years in office as a failure and that his signature legislative achievements are driving women out of the Democrat party and causing them to take another look at GOP candidates. 

According to the polling data, 56 percent of women consider ObamaCare a “failure,” against only 29 percent who view it as a success.  The numbers are much the same on the economic stimulus package pushed by the president and approved by the Pelosi Congress.  Just 34 percent of women say it was a success, while 53 percent call it a failure. 

President Obama and the Democrats are also losing among women who identify themselves as independents.  The poll found that a majority of these women viewed TARP, ObamaCare, the auto bailout and the economic stimulus plan as policy failures. 

When America wakes up to a new Republican majority in Congress on the day after Election Day this November, this failure by the Obama White House to deal with women’s issues seriously will be a chief reason why.  In most American families, women manage the family finances and the family budget.  These women have had enough of the Obama Administration’s insistence on enacting more and more debt to pay for their liberal experiments in health care and economic policy.  And they have had enough of a Congress and a White House that ignores small businesses and seem set on allowing taxes to go up for every American at the end of the year despite unemployment that continues to linger at nearly 10 percent. 

For generations, Democrats have taken the female vote for granted.  Last year’s gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey, and polling numbers like these, show that those days are over.  Women are ready for new solutions to the challenges we face, and they are ready for a Republican majority in Congress that will offer female voters more than lip service on the issues that matter.
