Ron Phillips

State Chairman

Ron Phillips is the Chairman of the District of Columbia Republican Party. He is President and CEO of REPUBLIC CONSULTANTS, LLC, which is a Public Relations and Business Development Firm based in Washington, DC.

Chairman Phillips started has a long history with the Republican Party spanning over 35 years. His original home is Mount Dora, Florida – Central Florida. Ron graduated from Florida State University with both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Political Science. During his time in Tallahassee, he was actively involved with FSU College Republicans and Young Republicans. Ron was the Youth for Reagan State Co-Chairman in 1984. He has worked, coordinated and managed many campaigns on the local, state and national levels.

Ron Phillips worked for Representative Duncan Hunter (R-CA) in the GOP Leadership for six years (1988 – 1994) at the House Republican Research Committee. He fulfilled various roles including Senior Research Analyst and Director of Research. While with Congressman Hunter, Mr. Phillips coordinated the activities of over fifty Republican Leadership Task Forces and handled all external communication and political development for the Research Committee in the United States Congress.

Chairman Phillips was a past candidate for the Florida State House and served as the Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, Third Congressional District Chairman and as a member of the Republican Party of Florida Executive Board. He was a Delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention.

In 2003, Chairman Phillips returned to Washington, DC to serve as Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Ron has worked for several governmental affairs firms in Washington, DC and is a former Adjunct Professor of Johns Hopkins University.

Ron lives on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC with his wife Kiri and Henry – the Bulldog. Douglas Phillips, Ron’s son, is a student at the University of South Florida.

Chairman Phillips is a Conservative Republican and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
