David Chang
State Chairman
David Chang was elected as the State Chairman from Hawaii in November of 2011. Chang is the Chairman and CEO of Chang Holding Company, a holding company for a Wealth Management Firm, Real Estate Acquisition and Development, a Construction Firm, and a Green Technology Company. He is in the Hawaii Army National Guard, and he serves on the board of directors of the Builders Industry Association of Hawaii, the Association of Christian Conferences and Teaching Services, and Past Chair for the Young Professional Program for the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Lion’s Club International, the Rotary Club, and the Toastmasters.
He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the Global War on Terror and operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition, he was selected as an East-West Graduate Degree Fellow and holds a Masters in Arts in Political Science from the University of Hawaii, a Masters in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary and a Certificate of Leadership from the East-West Center.
Chang was selected as the Pacific Edge Magazine’s Young Professional of the Year in 2011, the 2010 Pacific Business News’ Business leader of the Year, a 2012 FIVE-STAR Wealth Manager and The National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices Premier Advisor. David currently has a finance column in The Star-Advertiser’s weekly Midweek with a readership of over 400,000 people in the State of Hawaii.
