Ted Liu was elected National Committeeman of Hawaii in January 2012.
Currently, Ted works with private equity investments in the energy, media and technology sectors, with trans-Pacific focus. Previously he was Director of Hawaii State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT), serving in the Cabinet of Republican Governor Linda Lingle for two terms. Prior to that, Ted was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley & Co., based in Hong Kong and responsible for the Firm’s investment banking business for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Ted received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law. He has lived in Taiwan, Brazil, and Hong Kong and currently resides in Hawaii with his wife Betty.
