Robert M. “Mike” Duncan

National Committeeman

Mike Duncan was elected to the Republican National Committee as National Committeeman for Kentucky in 1992.  He served as Chairman of the RNC from 2007-2009 and has served as Treasurer and General Council. 

Currently, Mr. Duncan is the president and CEO for the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the use of coal for electricity. Mr. Duncan is also the chairman of American Crossroads, as well as Chairman and CEO of Community Holding Company and the Inez Deposit Bank in Eastern Kentucky.  He also serves as chairman of Alice Lloyd College. 

Mr. Duncan has served on the campaigns of five U.S. presidents and has worked with elected officials at every level of politics.  He has served as board member and chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority, and assistant director of the Office of Public Liaison in The White House. He has also served in various roles with the U.S.-China High Level Political Party Leaders Dialogue, the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, and the Center for Rural Development.  Mr. Duncan has held positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Cincinnati branch and the Kentucky Bankers Association.

Mr. Duncan holds degrees from Cumberland College and the University of Kentucky – College of Law.  Duncan is married to Joanne Kirk Duncan.  Their son Rob and daughter-in-law Val are the proud parents of Duncan’s two granddaughters, Taylor and Olivia.
