Henry Barbour was elected National Committeeman from Mississippi in August 2005. At the RNC , he serves on the Executive Committee and is currently serving on the Growth and Opportunity Project for the Party. He was an RNC staffer in the 1992 and 1994 election cycles, including working on the 1992 Republican National Convention. Barbour’s political activities include serving as a member of the Mississippi Republican Party Executive Committee, a member of the RGA Finance Committee, and a member of the Yazoo County Republican Party Executive Committee. He is active in his community as a member of the Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce and formerly as a coach for the Yazoo Girls Soccer and Softball programs. Previously, he served as campaign manager for Haley Barbour’s campaign for Governor in 2003 and Chip Pickering’s campaigns in 1996 and 2002. He also worked in the Bush-Quayle campaign and Administration in 1988-1992. Following Hurricane Katrina, he served as the Executive Director for the Governor’s Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding and Renewal. He is a partner at Capitol Resources, LLC and lives in Yazoo City with his wife and three daughters.
