Bill Powers was elected as the National Committeeman from New York in May 2012. He is the Managing Member of a consulting firm, Powers & Co. Powers attended East Carolina College and Albany Business College and his political activities include serving as the New York Republican State Chairman from 1991-2001 and the Rensselaer County Republican Chairman from 1985-1991. President George W. Bush appointed Powers to the Board of Freddie Mac from 2001-2003 and he is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trust Co Bank Corp.
