Robin Hayes

State Chairman

Robin Hayes was elected as the State Chairman from North Carolina in January of 2011. He is a commercial pilot and a licensed highway contractor. He serves on the board of directors for the USO of North Carolina, the US Air Force Academy, the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma, and the J. Dennis Hastert Center at Wheaton College. He is also the president of the Cannon Charitable Trust and serves on the board of the Jesse Helms Center.

 

Mr. Hayes served North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1998-2009 and was a member of the Armed Services, Agriculture and Transportation Committees. He also served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 1992-1996 and ran for governor in 1995. Mr. Hayes served on the Concord Board of Alderman, as the former president of Central Motor Lines, and the director of the Cannon Foundation and owner of Mt. Pleasant Hosiery Mill. He currently resides in Concord, NC with his wife, Barbara.
