Alex Stroman is the Executive Director and Spokesman for the South Carolina Republican Party. As Executive Director he manages the party’s operations, budget, and political strategy. In 2013 he led the party’s successful victory plan for former Governor Mark Sanford’s campaign for Congress. He has served as SCGOP Political Director and has managed the state’s largest Presidential Primary in South Carolina’s history, two state conventions, the 2012 SC RNC delegation, and in lead roles at three nationally-televised Republican Presidential Primary debates.
Prior to his work as Political Director, Alex served as a campaign aide to State Treasurer Curtis Loftis in his successful 2010 race and as Legislative Aide to State Representative Greg Delleney. A native of Chester, Alex has been active in the South Carolina Republican Party for many years as a precinct president, a county committeeman, and a member of the State Executive Committee. Alex earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Southern Studies from the University of South Carolina, where he served as Student Body Vice President and Chairman of the College Republicans.
