Thomas was elected State Chairman of the Utah Republican Party in January 2011 and then reelected in May of 2011 for a full term.  Previously he was Chairman of the Salt Lake County Republican Party from 2009 to 2011. He is a self-made businessman who built his businesses from the ground up through hard work, innovation and dedication.  Thomas is currently the owner, President and Principal Broker of Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in Park City Utah and Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty in Lake Tahoe.  The two firms combined include 20 employees and over 150 sales associates that sell about $1 billion of real estate annually.

Previously, Thomas was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at New Freedom Mortgage in Salt Lake City and Marketing Director at Coldwell Banker Premier Realty. He was also a former candidate for the Utah House of Representatives and elected Chairman of the Salt Lake County Republican Party in 2009.

Thomas holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Marketing and Russian from the University of Utah, where he played on the varsity golf team. He has four children and resides in Salt Lake City with his wife, Caroline.
