RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Statement on Michigan Primary Election
Posted February 28, 2012
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement regarding the results of the Michigan primary:
“I want to congratulate Mitt Romney on his victory, and thank all of our candidates for their work to make Barack Obama a one term president,” said RNC Chairman Priebus.
“Three years after taking office, the president has yet to keep his promises to the American people. Obama has failed to fix our economy, failed to cut the deficit, and failed to contain energy costs. Today, we are paying the price for those failures.
“After electing Republicans to Lansing in 2010, Michigan is ready to elect a Republican to the White House in 2012.”
