January 30, 2008 Republicans stand united behind a pro-growth, pro-democracy agenda. RNC Chairman Duncan has stated that with the current economic challenges, it is important that we reject the Democrats’ calls to raise taxes on hard-working people. Instead, we should empower Americans with tax relief that puts more money in their pockets and trusts them to spend it wisely. All Republicans recognize there are economic challenges, but we are addressing them by giving money back to the people, as opposed to Democrats that want to raise taxes on hardworking families. Republicans believe that we must trust and empower the American people to make wise decisions which will lead to a prosperous future for our Nation.
