RNC Message on POW/MIA Recognition Day
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following message on POW/MIA Recognition Day:
“On this day, we pause to remember and pay tribute to those brave Americans who did not come home from combat, and those who suffered as prisoners of war,” said Chairman Priebus. “A black and white flag flies over the United States Capitol as a symbol of our commitment to bring these brave Americans home.
“Our thoughts are also with the families of the missing. We pray they find peace and that their loved ones have a speedy and safe return home.”
“We are eternally grateful for the men and women who protect our nation and defend our freedoms,” said Co-Chair Day. “Today and every day, our veterans and armed forces deserve our deepest appreciation. They are our heroes, and they are never forgotten.”
