Ahead of Tuesday’s elections in Texas, Bernie Sanders’ outside group, Our Revolution, is going to war with the DCCC after it slammed a progressive candidate in an open primary. That candidate, Laura Moser, just released an ad criticizing “the system where Washington party bosses tell us who to choose – we tried that before, and look at where it got us.” Now TEAM HILLARY is attacking Moser….
Honestly asking @lcmoser- do you mean this as an attack on @HillaryClinton or are you referencing something else? I’m definitely against party bosses choosing nominees but I don’t know when that last happened. https://t.co/sH47gWXD67— Neera Tanden 🌊 (@neeratanden) March 2, 2018
Texas is the first state to hold primary elections ahead of the 2018 midterms, and Democrats are still blaming each other for losing 1,000+ seats during 8 years of Obama.
Amazing, seem to have turned a crowded local primary with multiple progressives into a national referendum on Bernie vs Establishment https://t.co/duu2oaTqJD— Benjy Sarlin (@BenjySarlin) March 1, 2018
Even DNC Chair Tom Perez, who sparked a major intra-party fight last year for criticizing a Democrat he disagreed with, is getting involved. In an attempt to up his standing with Bernie supporters, he’s siding with them on the DCCC’s move:
The Democratic Party, ladies and gentlemen. https://t.co/Sdao1Q82tS— Aaron Blake (@AaronBlake) March 2, 2018
Wow. DNC chair throwing DCCC under the bus... https://t.co/j5XiQQ3ihH— Emily Goodin (@Emilylgoodin) March 2, 2018
