I’m sure by now you’ve seen that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has passed and is headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature. You’ve probably also seen that AT&T announced they’re paying a special $1,000 bonus for employees and committing to an extra $1 billion in capital expenditures thanks to the lower corporate tax rate.
This is a big deal for Virginia. Not only does AT&T employ more than 2,700 people in the Commonwealth, Virginia is also a major supplier of equipment to the company. AT&T purchased more than $900 million of goods and services in the Old Dominion in 2016.
Republicans promised to cut taxes and get our economy moving again.
