In what seems like endless enthusiasm surrounding manufacturing since the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the latest National Association of Manufacturers survey shows:
- Wage growth rising at the fastest pace in 17 years
- Record levels of confidence by manufacturers about their businesses
- Projected employment growth and capital spending at record levels
Considering that manufacturing employs more than 598,000 Michiganders and contributes $93 billion to the state’s economy annually, is Debbie Stabenow still “excited” to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act?
“Debbie Stabenow missed a golden opportunity to prove to Michiganders that she’s willing to work with Republicans when she decided to obstruct tax reform, which has been delivering for Michigan manufacturers. While tax reform is bringing increased wages, new jobs, and the first significant uptick in manufacturing jobs since the Great Recession, Debbie Stabenow decided politics were more important."—RNC Spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury
