ANOTHER WEEK, ANOTHER RECYCLED POLICY PLAN FROM LAST YEAR'S STATE OF THE UNION

Today, Obama Is Expected To Give Remarks Drawing Attention To Manufacturing Hubs Promised In His 2013 State Of The Union Address. "On Wednesday he will go to North Carolina to draw attention to the type of manufacturing innovation hub that he promoted in his 2013 State of the Union speech. On Thursday he has invited college presidents to discuss ways to improve workers' skills. Winning teams will be selected and announced later this year. Federal funds will be matched by industry co-investment, support from state and local governments, and other sources." In March 2012, Obama First Brought Up Creating A Manufacturing Hub Program, Called The National Network To Support Manufacturing,. "The President will announce a new proposal for a National Network for Manufacturing Innovation, to build a network of up to fifteen Institutes for Manufacturing Innovation around the country, serving as regional hubs of manufacturing excellence that will help to make our manufacturers more competitive and encourage investment in the United States. The President's Budget proposes a $1 billion investment to create this new National Network for Manufacturing Innovation."
