Bill Nelson votes against tax reform

Ellie Hockenbury - December 2, 2017

In an historic vote, the Senate voted to put middle class families first and pass tax reform. According to the Tax Foundation, tax reform will generate 53,631 new jobs in Florida, and Floridians will receive an extra $2,252 in after-tax income. Unfortunately for hardworking Floridians, Bill Nelson decided to listen to Chuck Schumer instead of his constituents and oppose the bill in a blatant effort to obstruct the President’s agenda at all costs.

“Floridians will remember Bill Nelson’s vote against tax reform. Nelson has obstructed tax reform from the beginning, and voters have the opportunity to replace him in 2018 with someone who puts the best interest of Floridians ahead of partisan politics.” –RNC Spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury
