Chuck Schumer is quickly finding himself backed into a corner ahead of a 12pm Senate vote to reopen the government.

This morning, the AP’s Julie Pace reports that some Democratic senators “were eagerly searching for a way out of the shutdown.” 

But if Schumer decides to continue filibustering, it means he will have again caved to the threats of their far-left base. One leading immigration activist tells Pace…

 In short: The ball remains in Schumer’s court. Will he heed the calls of a growing number of Senate Democrats to end the Schumer Shutdown, or is the far-left base still his #1 priority?
