Clinton and Sanders Try to Prove Who Is the Most Out-of-Touch

Team GOP - March 7, 2016

Last night, the subject of an FBI investigation and a self-proclaimed socialist walked onto a stage…

We wish that were the start of a joke. But it’s the real-life Democrat primary.

During the latest Democrat debate, Clinton and Sanders engaged in their latest attempt to prove who is the most out of touch with Americans' top priorities.

Both touted policies that have been proven failures with regards to the economy, education, and energy.

When it came to the economy, was there any discussion of making America a more attractive place to do business and hire workers? Were there any proposals that didn’t involve more punishing regulations or taxes?

No.

When it came to education, was there any prescription beyond pouring more money into failed and mismanaged bureaucracies or coddling the demands of teachers unions?

No.

And, when it came to energy, as Americans are yearning for good jobs, did Clinton or Sanders talk about harnessing domestic energy resources to grow the economy?

Unless you count the oft touted, but nonexistent “green” jobs…

No.

Even more striking, in the span of two hours, there was ZERO mention of foreign policy. The following words were never uttered during the entire Democrat debate:

  • Veterans
  • Gitmo/Guantanamo
  • Terror/Terrorism
  • Putin or Russia
  • Libya
  • Afghanistan
  • Syria
  • ISIS/ISIL/Islamic State
  • Al Qaeda
  • Iran
  • North Korea

Also missing: an answer from Clinton on bombshell developments in her email scandal.

As the FBI intensifies its investigation into possible criminal wrongdoing, reports indicate that the FBI is likely to interview Clinton directly in the coming months.

She’ll need a better answer than she gave last night.
