Today, The New York Times Is Reporting That Clinton "Has Brought On One Of Her Closest Advisers, Minyon Moore, For A Top Role In Her Campaign …" "Hillary Clinton has brought on one of her closest advisers, Minyon Moore, for a top role in her campaign as the 2016 race moves closer to the general election, an aide confirmed." (Maggie Haberman, "Hillary Clinton Brings Longtime Clinton Insider Into Her Campaign," The New York Times , 5/2/16)

Ms. Moore will have an office on the campaign's new 10th floor space at its headquarters in Brooklyn, along a wall featuring other top aides such as the chairman, John D. Podesta; the campaign manager, Robby Mook; the communications director, Jennifer Palmieri; and the policy adviser, Jake Sullivan." (Maggie Haberman, "Hillary Clinton Brings Longtime Clinton Insider Into Her Campaign," The New York Times , 5/2/16)

In 2008 , Moore "Personally Sought And Secured" The Funding For An Illegal Shadow Campaign Finance Operation

Moore Was The "Link" Between Clinton's 2008 Campaign And A Scheme To Funnel $600,000 Off The Books To Help Fund Get Out The Vote Operations In The Democratic Primary. "A longtime aide to Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton has been identified as the link between Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign and a person who admitted using more than $600,000 in off-the-books funds to help get out the vote in the Democratic primaries. Minyon Moore is the unnamed individual who, according to court documents, introduced New York marketing executive Troy White to a District of Columbia businessman who paid White to deploy 'street teams' on Clinton's behalf, according to a person familiar with the investigation who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to disclose the information." (Ben Nuckols, "Longtime Clinton Aide The Link In Campaign Scheme," The Associated Press, 9/13/13)

  • Moore Served As "Senior Advisor" On Clinton's 2008 Campaign. "On Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign, Moore was a senior adviser, working closely with many departments of the campaign, and she was particularly instrumental in African American outreach. She was one of the District's 21 'superdelegates.'" (Ann Marimow and

Moore "Personally Sought And Secured" $608,750 To Fund A Pro-Clinton Shadow Campaign In Four States And Puerto Rico. "A longtime adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton personally sought and secured the funding for an illegal shadow operation to boost Clinton's 2008 presidential bid, according to court papers released as part of a wide-reaching campaign finance scandal. Washington businessman Jeffrey Thompson, who pleaded guilty Monday on federal conspiracy charges in a case that has focused largely on District Mayor Vincent Gray's 2010 election, told federal prosecutors that Clinton aide Minyon Moore asked him to fund pro-Clinton efforts in four states and Puerto Rico totaling $608,750 during the hard-fought 2008 Democratic presidential primary campaign, the documents show." (Matea Gold and Rosalin Helderman, "Hillary Clinton Adviser Minyon Moore Sought Funds For Illegal Campaign, Court Papers Allege," The Washington Post , 3/11/14)

The Scheme Involved Businessman Jeffrey Thompson Funding A Secret Campaign Of "Street Teams" Organized By New York Marketing Executive Troy White "To Distribute Posters, Stickers And Yard Signs Beginning In February 2008" To Win Democratic Primaries. "The D.C. businessman at the center of an ongoing city corruption investigation secretly spent more than a half-million dollars on get-out-the-vote efforts for Hillary Rodham Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, according to interviews and court documents filed Wednesday. Jeffrey E. Thompson, a former city contractor who allegedly financed a secret campaign for then-mayoral candidate Vincent C. Gray (D) in 2010, financed an independent effort to reach urban voters on behalf of Clinton in Texas and at least three other states during the 2008 Democratic primaries, according to the interviews and documents. Thompson allegedly paid Troy White, a New York marketing executive, more than $608,000 to hire 'street teams' to distribute posters, stickers and yard signs beginning in February 2008 to help raise Clinton's profile during her primary battle with then-Sen. Barack Obama, according to the documents and interviews with several people familiar with the investigation." (Ann Marimow and Philip Ricker, "D.C. Executive Linked To Secret 2008 Aid To Hillary Clinton," The Washington Post , 9/12/13)

  • In March 2014, Thompson Pleaded Guilty To Illegally Funneling Money To Clinton's 2008 Presidential Bid. "D.C. businessman Jeffrey E. Thompson pleaded guilty on Monday to illegally funneling more than $2 million to Vincent C. Gray's successful 2010 mayoral bid, Hillary Rodham Clinton's 2008 presidential run and the campaigns of other candidates in local and federal elections." (Emma Brown and Marc Fisher, "Jeffrey Thompson's Plea Deal: Key Details," The Washington Post , 3/10/14)
  • Thompson Did Not Disclose His Expenditures Or Activities To The Federal Election Commission, Thus Violating Campaign Finance Laws. "A search of federal campaign records found no evidence that Thompson or White disclosed the alleged expenditures or activities to the Federal Election Commission, as required by campaign finance laws." (Ann E. Marimow and Philip Rucker, "The Secret Effort To Help Clinton In 2008 Alleged," The Washington Post , 9/11/13)

Minyon Moore Was Involved With Briefing Clinton As She Laid The Groundwork For Her 2016 Run

Early In The Summer Of 2013, Clinton "Met With A Handful Of Aides For A Detailed Presentation On Preparing For A 2016 Presidential Campaign." "Early last summer in her Georgian-style home near Washington's Embassy Row, Hillary Clinton met with a handful of aides for a detailed presentation on preparing for a 2016 presidential campaign." (Maggie Haberman, "Hillary Clinton's Shadow Campaign," Politico, 1/5/14)

The Presentation, Given By Officials With The Democratic Consulting Firm, The Dewey Square Group, Was Organized By Minyon Moore, "Who Has Informally Become The Potential Candidate's Political Eyes And Ears Of Late." "Three officials from the Democratic consulting firm Dewey Square Group - veteran field organizer Michael Whouley, firm founder Charlie Baker and strategist Jill Alper, whose expertise includes voter attitudes toward women candidates - delivered a dispassionate, numbers-driven assessment. They broke down filing deadlines in certain states, projected how much money Clinton would need to raise and described how field operations have become more sophisticated in the era of Barack Obama. The meeting was organized by Minyon Moore, a longtime Clinton intimate also at Dewey Square who has informally become the potential candidate's political eyes and ears of late."
