In an historic vote, the Senate voted to put middle class families first and pass tax reform. According to the Tax Foundation, tax reform will generate 27,672 new jobs in Michigan, and Michiganders will receive an extra $2,512 in after-tax income. Unfortunately for hardworking Michiganders, Debbie Stabenow decided to listen to Chuck Schumer instead of her constituents and oppose the bill in a blatant effort to obstruct the President’s agenda at all costs.
“Michiganders will remember Debbie Stabenow’s vote against tax reform. Stabenow has obstructed tax reform from the beginning, and voters have the opportunity to replace her in 2018 with someone who puts the best interest of Michiganders ahead of partisan politics.” –RNC Spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury
