Democrat discontent is growing with one Democrat Congressman now saying that Timothy Geithner needs to go.
It was a serving of ham with a side of politics at this morning's 48th annual Kentucky Farm Bureau's Country Ham Breakfast. As usual, the big political names were there, but this year all were talking about the same thing -- the economy and jobs.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul and U.S. Congressman John Yarmuth don't agree on much, but say they both think Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner should be out of a job.
Paul said on Thursday, "Timothy Geithner's got to go. I'm going to call for his resignation as soon as we get back, because they are not doing any of the things that will help our economy. Things really need to change."
Yarmuth agrees: "The only Cabinet appointment of President Obama that I have concerns with is Timothy Geithner because he came from the same world that caused the problem...I'd rather see someone as the Secretary of the Treasury."
