Senator Donnelly spoke to the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce this morning as part of a series hosted by First Financial Bank. Donnelly was greeted by a couple of folks who wanted to remind the Senator that he is lacking in the accomplishments department after spending over a decade in Washington.
Speaking of First Financial Bank, they merged with Mainsource Financial, who recently announced that they will be increasing their hourly minimum wage to $15/hour due to the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Senator Donnelly’s lack of interest in putting more money into Hoosiers’ pockets through tax reform is just the most recent example of a lackluster career.
“Did Senator Donnelly use his time in Merrillville this morning to double down on his opposition to tax reform? Donnelly has been busy continuing to spread falsehoods about the fact that he chose Chuck Schumer over his constituents while Hoosiers are getting fatter paychecks by way of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act this month. After spending a decade in Washington, do-nothing Donnelly’s lack of accomplishments will come back to haunt him this November.” –RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce
