Hypocrite Kaine gets on the shutdown train

Garren Shipley - January 18, 2018

Bad news for Federal employees in Northern Virginia: Tim Kaine and Mark Warner have both announced they won’t vote for a continuing resolution to keep the government open past Friday. Their reasoning? They want “all issues” resolved. That means they want DACA and CHIP, or they’ll vote to send Federal employees home.

But it wasn’t all that long ago that Kaine took to the floor of the Senate to express his outrage — and talk about how “disturbed” he was — when President Trump mentioned a shutdown last year.

"He made it clear that he will do everything in his power to fight against this threat."

"Kaine highlighted the thousands of federal employees in Virginia and countless other people across the Commonwealth who would, directly and indirectly, be harmed by a federal government shutdown."
As you cover this developing situation, please consider the following quote from me:

“Tim Kaine has decided to put a partisan power play — demanded by his far-left liberal base — ahead of hard working Virginians. Just a few months ago Tim Kaine was prepared to go to the mattresses to fight a shutdown. Today he said he won’t vote to prevent a shutdown. The paychecks of tens of thousands of Virginians shouldn’t be a political football. ” — Garren Shipley, RNC spokesman
