In Case You Missed It…
Today, at the press conference announcing Governor Scott’s plan to keep Florida students safe following the tragic Parkland shooting, a reporter asked Governor Scott if Senator Bill Nelson was politicizing this tragedy.
Reporter: “Is Bill Nelson politicizing this? Do you have a response to his criticism?”
Governor Scott: “Bill Nelson is a career politician, he talks a lot and does nothing. Think about it, he has been in office for almost 50 years. He hasn’t done anything on gun safety. If he wants to get something done he ought to be sitting down and working on a plan. It’s horrible what happened in Parkland, it’s disgusting what happened in Parkland. Since then I have been listening….This is a plan I’m going to work hard to implement.”
