ICYMI: Indiana Republicans Knock on over 15,000 Doors During the RNC’s National Day of Action
INDIANAPOLIS- On Saturday, June 18th, the Republican National Committee in conjunction with the Indiana Republican Party knocked on over 15,000 doors statewide for the fourth National Day of Action (NDOA) of the 2018 election cycle. With 120 NDOA participants in attendance and 19 Republican Leadership Initiative (RLI) trainings across the state, Republicans continue to build off of the success of past NDOA’s to continue an aggressive get-out-the-vote strategy for the 2018 midterm elections.
“For Indiana Republicans to hit 15,000 doors in a single day during the RNC’s National Day of Action shows how dedicated we are to defying history and winning up-and-down the ballot in November in the Hoosier state,” said Michael Joyce, the RNC’s Indiana Communications Director. “Whether you look at our data-driven ground game or our data, Hoosier Republican candidates have been given the upper-hand through our efforts.”
Indeed, the RNC continues to boast a significant political advantage from record breaking fundraising hauls, a $210 million investment into their data, and the record 500 staff on the ground nationwide. In Indiana, Joyce says that the RNC staff has already trained over 800 RLI fellows across the state, a signal that the RLI program continues to be a success.
“This speaks volumes about the team we have in place here in Indiana. We continue to build off of each National Day of Action. Our voter contact numbers continue to grow and we continue to train more RLI fellows, who are then able to recruit volunteers from their local communities to make our ground game all the more successful. If I’m America’s most vulnerable and least effective Democrat, Joe Donnelly, I’d be very worried about the prospect of losing to Mike Braun in November.”
