Excerpts from Fox Business: "Mornings with Maria"
RNC Chairwoman On The Paris Decision
CHAIRWOMAN RONNA MCDANIEL: "I think the President did the right thing. It was a bad deal for the American people. We were being held to one standard while China and India were being held to a different standard. It would’ve cost us money, jobs. And the President absolutely took a leadership position pulling us out of the Paris Accord."
BARTIROMO: "I agree that it was leadership but there is a lot of pushback here, Ronna. What do you make of the pushback from the nation's leading CEOs? Basically saying, 'the U.S. has taken itself out of a very important issue, we’re going to continue to fight climate change.' Why such a drastic reaction from so many business people, do you think?"
CHAIRWOMAN MCDANIEL: "I don't understand the reaction. Because looking at the deal, it really was a bad deal for the United States and for the American worker and their American family. The President said he is willing to look at other deals. This deal in and of itself was a loser for the United States of America. These CEOs should be applauding him. It is saving American jobs and it is saving American money."
