Missouri already benefiting from tax reform

Christiana Purves - January 19, 2018

I’m sure by now you’ve seen that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has passed and is headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature. You’ve probably also seen that AT&T announced they’re paying a special $1,000 bonus for employees and committing to an extra $1 billion in capital expenditures thanks to the lower corporate tax rate.

This is a big deal for Missourians. Not only does AT&T employ more than 9,400 people in Missouri, the state is also a major supplier of equipment to the company. AT&T purchased more than $3.1 billion of goods and services in Missouri in 2014

Republicans promised to cut taxes and get our economy moving again.

Promise made, promise kept.

I wonder how Senator Claire McCaskill is going to explain her vote against the tax cut bill to Missourians…

P.S. It’s not just AT&T. Check out the pay raises, bonuses and/or new investments already announced today by Boeing, Comcast, Wells Fargo, and Fifth Third Bancorp.
