I’m sure by now you’ve seen that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has passed and is headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature. You’ve probably also seen that AT&T announced they’re paying a special $1,000 bonus for employees and committing to an extra $1 billion in capital expenditures thanks to the lower corporate tax rate.
This is a big deal for Missourians. Not only does AT&T employ more than 9,400 people in Missouri, the state is also a major supplier of equipment to the company. AT&T purchased more than $3.1 billion of goods and services in Missouri in 2014.
Republicans promised to cut taxes and get our economy moving again.
Promise made, promise kept.
I wonder how Senator Claire McCaskill is going to explain her vote against the tax cut bill to Missourians…
