Bill Nelson has been mostly talk and no action following the Parkland shooting. And tonight, instead of coming up with a plan for school safety, he’s back to his life as a career politician fundraising in Tallahassee. The past week he’s been traveling the state, taking jabs at Governor Scott, and mostly just talking to press about how he’s been a leader on gun control… except he’s hardly been a leader.
Bill Nelson has been in office for 6,267 days and has not had one single piece of his own gun control legislation become law. This is proof enough he is NOT leading on an issue he claims to be a leader on…
Not sure about you, but I’d hardly consider signing my name to a few bills that I didn’t write an accomplishment...especially when they didn’t pass. And when gun control legislation didn’t pass, he has repeatedly blamed the NRA, and hasn’t taken responsibility for not working hard enough.
Where’s your bill, Bill? You have time for fundraising but don’t have time to introduce legislation? All hat and no cattle, Nelson.
