North Dakota already benefiting from tax reform

Christiana Purves - January 19, 2018

I’m sure by now you’ve seen that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has passed and is headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature. You’ve probably also seen that AT&T announced they’re paying a special $1,000 bonus to employees and committing to an extra $1 billion in capital expenditures thanks to the lower corporate tax rate.

This is a big deal for North Dakotans. Not only does AT&T employ more than 190 people in North Dakota, the state is also a major supplier of equipment to the company. AT&T purchased more than $30.7 million worth of goods and services in North Dakota in 2014.

Republicans promised to cut taxes and get our economy moving again.

Promise made, promise kept.

I wonder how Senator Heidi Heitkamp is going to explain her vote against the tax cut bill to North Dakotans…..

P.S. It’s not just AT&T. Check out the pay raises, bonuses and/or new investments already announced today by Boeing, Comcast, Wells Fargo, and Fifth Third Bancorp.
