NOT lovin' it πŸ”πŸŸ

Michael Ahrens - March 22, 2018

Move over Hamburglar: DNC leadership is attacking McDonald’s – and calling for a MAXIMUM wage in America.

The DNC’s second-in-command, Rep. Keith Ellison, wants to institute a top marginal tax rate of 100 percent. That’s how far to the left today’s Democratic Party has moved. Do Chuck, Nancy, and Tom Perez agree?

Listen Here

INTERVIEWER: We're talking about market power – you made a joke about a maximum wage.

ELLISON: No, no, no, I didn't make a joke about maximum wage, I made a statement about maximum wage. What I'm saying is ... If you were to say, “Look, if you make more than 20 times more than the people who actually make the products and do the services of your company, then we're going to tax you more.” … But this idea that you can leave people in poverty as you are stacking up dead presidents like nobody's business has got to come to an end. I mean, the CEO of McDonald's makes $9,000 an hour** and they're fighting people getting $15 an hour.

INTERVIEWER: But they turned their logo upside down to be a W so they care...

ELLISON: They care. They totally care. Awwww. But my point is, these people, not only are they screwing over workers, they're screwing over the environment. They're like clear-cutting forests so they can graze more cattle, and we all know that like beef production is extremely abusive on the environment. They're bad actors, you know? So I wasn't joking about having a maximum wage. Why shouldn't there be a maximum wage?

**Note: McDonald’s CEO does not make $9,000 an hour.
