Similar to Senator Donnelly being caught red handed for profiting off of outsourcing while condemning the practice, his own campaign found itself contradicting itself as well. After the Senate Leadership Fund released an ad claiming that Donnelly’s family business, Stewart Superior, committed at least five Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) violations, the Donnelly campaign responded: “Stewart Superior showed no safety violations in an OSHA establishment search dating back to 1973.”
However, as Philip Wegmann from the Washington Examiner pointed out: “But the attack was true, and Donnelly's campaign was wrong. Now a Donnelly aide admits the campaign quietly “scrubbed” the online document.”
Scrubbing the website?? Here’s what Wegmann said: “And then that response disappeared. Six days later, the Donnelly campaign silently edited their own fact check because, according to OSHA, Stewart Superior actually has five “serious” workplace violations.”
It seems as if Donnelly himself and his campaign think deceptive practices will lead to victory in November, but Hoosiers won’t be fooled.
“It doesn’t matter how many times Joe Donnelly or his own campaign lie about Donnelly’s shady business dealings, Hoosiers aren’t as stupid as Donnelly thinks. From outsourcing to OSHA violations, Donnelly has proven that his only path to victory comes at the expense of the Hoosiers he’s supposed to represent. Hoosiers deserve better, and they have a better opportunity by voting for Mike Braun in November.” –RNC Spokesperson Michael Joyce
